Brief Information About Copysmith
Before we start exploring all the Copysmith competitors in detail, allow me to briefly talk about Copysmith first.
In this section, if you do not know about it yet, you will learn more about Copysmith, its awesome set of features, pricing, etc.
At the same time, I would also share some details about the drawbacks in Copysmith.
So without any further ado, let’s dive in…
What Is Copysmith?
Copysmith is an AI copywriter software that works on GPT-3 technology to generate human-like content for different purposes. With the help of this software, you can create content for your eCommerce product descriptions, landing pages, social media & Google ads, and so on.
The software was launched in 2020 but gained recognition in 2021 after it was presented as a lifetime deal on Appsumo. The users loved the first version of the software and hence, received top ratings.
With time and several software updates, Copysmith now offers a plethora of features and tools. As of now, it offers 30+ copywriting tools and is the “go-to” software for eCommerce businesses and marketing teams that handle eCommerce sites.
Besides being available as a SaaS application, it is also available as a Chrome extension with multiple integration options. This allows you to exploit its AI copywriting features across various platforms.
And, the best part, it comes with a nominal tag of $19/month.
Besides this, here are some notable…
Pros Of Using Copysmith (Features Offered)
- The use of GPT-3 technology ensures that you are able to generate high-quality and engaging content copies.
- Copysmith offers 30+ copywriting tools and use cases. With the help of them, you can create product descriptions, landing pages, ad copies, emails, and also blog posts.
- It is one of the only AI copywriting software that supports bulk content generation. In a single attempt, Copysmith allows you to generate thousands of content.
- The software packs a native plagiarism checker that will help you find out if your content is copied from other sources.
- One of the greatest characteristics of Copysmith is that it allows you to generate content in 60+ languages.
- Copysmith allows you to add team members to your account. This helps teams to scale up their content generation process.
- At the same time, this software comes with project sharing and collaboration features.
Despite all of these awesome set of features and characteristics, there are a few ways in which Copysmith lets you down.
Due to these issues, the users start to look for better Copysmith alternatives.
What are these drawbacks, you ask? Well, here you go…
Cons Of Using Copysmith (Reasons Why You Should Look For A Copysmith Alternative)
- Copysmith, despite being a decent AI copywriter, is best for eCommerce businesses only. Surely, you can use it for other use cases as well but its AI is trained specially for eCommerce businesses.
- There are fewer AI copywriting tools and features in Copysmith. Its alternative solutions offer way more than what Copysmith offers.
- Despite extensive AI training, the quality of content is not up to the mark. You’d find better content quality in other Copysmith alternatives.
- The blog post generator is not as efficient in Copysmith as compared to its competitors. To optimize your content for SEO, you’d have to connect your Copysmith account with Frase.
- Copysmith is not ideal for a solo blogger or a marketer. The software has been developed predominantly for large businesses, teams, and agencies.
- The API is only available in the Enterprise plan. So if you want to automate your content generation process, you’d have to subscribe to an expensive plan.
Exploring All Copysmith Alternatives In Detail With Pros & Cons
Now that you have gone through Copysmith’s advantages and disadvantages, I presume that you too have faced certain difficulties with the software.
And, that is why you are here, reading this blog post and trying to find an alternative solution.
Without any delay, let’s explore all the software in detail…
1. Jasper
One of the best Copysmith alternatives that I could ever recommend to you is Jasper. This software is at the pinnacle of the AI copywriting niche. The software was launched in 2021 and since then it became the best tool for offering AI-powered copywriting features.
Once you sign up for an account on Jasper, you’d find 50+ copywriting tools and templates in the Starter plan itself. Compared to Copysmith’s 30+ tools, this is definitely an upgrade in terms of available copywriting tools. It is conveniently available in a grid format with relevant filters on the top –
Besides this, you’d love to know that Jasper works on GPT-3 AI technology, just like Copysmith. However, in terms of content quality, I found Jasper to be better than Copysmith. Not to forget but Jasper now also offers an AI text-to-image generator tool as well.
That being said, according to me, the best feature of Jasper that sets him apart from Copysmith or any of its alternatives is the Boss Mode. In this feature, Jasper provides you with all the means to speed up your content generation process. This means that you get to generate a full-fledged blog post in a few minutes and that too in a few simple steps.
The Boss Mode comes with three different modes SEO, Power, and Focused. If I talk particularly about the SEO mode, Jasper will offer Surfer SEO integration so that you get to incorporate some related keywords in your content to make it SEO optimized.
Here’s an example of using Jasper + Surfer SEO for the topic and keyword “Copywriter Tips” –
Apart from this, I find Jasper commands and content recipes quite intuitive. Both of these features are available in the Boss Mode and are developed specifically to make your content generation process easier and faster.
Additionally, I personally like to use Jasper Docs, a Google Docs-like content editor. Here, when on the Boss Mode plan, you get to use all of its copywriting tools simultaneously. At the same time, Jasper will provide you with Grammarly and Copyscape integration.
You get to add as many as 5 team members to your Jasper account, irrespective of which plan you choose. The pricing remains the same unless you add more team members.
Lastly, just like me, you’d be able to generate social media posts, ad copies, emails, website content, product descriptions, etc. in as many as 25+ global languages. And, just like Copysmith, Jasper is available as a Chrome extension.

Jasper Pricing

- Starter – This plan offers access to all essential AI tools and starts at $29/month for 20,000 words.
- Boss Mode – This plan is ideal for generating all types of content. It starts at $59/month for 50,000 words and advanced features like Jasper Chat, editor, commands, recipes, SEO mode, etc.
- Business – Custom pricing for higher content generation needs with enterprise-level features.
2. Writesonic
If not Jasper then I surely rely on Writesonic. Consequently, for me, it comes at a close second and is also one of the best Copysmith alternatives. Similar to Copysmith, this software too works on GPT-3 model to generate content. However, with the recent software update, it also works on GPT-3.5 and GPT-4.
If you don’t know it yet, Writesonic is yet another AI-powered copywriting tool. I first discovered this tool when it was launched as a lifetime deal on Appsumo. Since then I actively use it to generate content for blog posts, website copies, landing pages, ad copies, product descriptions, and social media posts. As of now, it offers 70+ copywriting tools and templates.
Take a look at the Writesonic dashboard wherein it methodically lists its copywriting tools in a grid format –
As far as usability is concerned, you simply have to pick the required tool, provide some inputs, select the tone, and click the button to generate content.
Apart from this, the stuff with Writesonic that has really impressed me is its super-active team. From its founder – Sam to its developers, all of them work tirelessly to introduce new copywriting features and modules. If you are subscribed to Writesonic’s newsletter, you’d get at least one product update news that informs you about the introduction of a new feature.
Speaking of which, Writesonic will offer you an AI image generator – Photosonic that will help you generate an image from a text prompt.
Besides this, what I love the most about Writesonic is its landing page generator. Not only does it helps you create an engaging landing page copy but it also generates the visual part i.e. HTML version too.
Here’s an example of the landing page that I generated for Writesonic itself –
Additionally, Writesonic offers you a couple of ways to generate blog posts as well. Firstly, it offers you a conventional blog post wizard that will enable blog post generating in as many as 4 steps. Secondly, Writesonic is the only alternative to Copysmith that offers a free-flowing blog generator. You simply have to enter the blog topic and the software will take care of the heavy lifting. I was surprised when it casually generated a solid 1,500 words article.
As far as SEO optimization is concerned, Writesonic will offer you Semrush integration. Seamlessly connect your accounts and leverage all the SEO features. You can even use the Zapier integration to connect Writesonic with any third-party app you want.
But the integration that I like the most is Writesonic’s WordPress plugin. With the help of this, you get to publish your articles directly on your WordPress site, and that too in a single click.
At last, when I compared Writesonic with Copysmith, I found that Writesonic also offers some similar features bulk content generation, collaboration, and team management.
I think Writesonic has everything that needs to be termed as your ideal Copysmith alternative.

Cons

- There are more native integrations in Copysmith. Although, Zapier integration in Writesonic solves this problem
Writesonic Pricing
The pricing in Writesonic is a bit complex. For starters, its pricing is based on the number of words generated in a month. Furthermore, it offers customizations in the word quality ranging from Premium to Economy.
- Free Trial – A free trial period in which you can generate up to 10,000 premium quality words.
- Long-Form – If you want to generate blog posts and manage a team, this is the ideal plan. It starts at $19/month for 60,000 premium words. Advanced features like Sonic editor, bulk content generation, etc. are available in this plan.

Please note that there are multiple sub-tiers in each of these plans with user seats. Consequently, you’d be able to find a perfect plan for your team.
3. Anyword
Another pioneer in the field of AI copywriting is Anyword. The software has been in the business for a very long time now. It was first introduced as Keywee. Later, it was rebranded to Anyword.
To begin the praises for Anyword, I found that the software not only uses GPT-3 but also a couple of other AI technologies as well. Due to this, I was able to generate better quality content in comparison to Copysmith.
But the characteristic that makes Anyword one of the best Copysmith alternatives is its predictive performance scoring feature. With the help of this feature, the software analyzes your generated content and predicts its performance. Based on this, you can further improve your content.
Just for demonstration purposes, I have generated a Facebook ad for Anyword and checked its predictive performance score –
You’d love to know that it is the first software to introduce this feature.
Besides this, another key feature of Anyword that I absolutely love is the Customer Persona. This feature will allow you to create a persona of your customer wherein you target a specific group of users (copywriters, eCommerce businesses, etc.) and create engaging content copies for them.
In my Anyword account, I have added a customer persona for copywriters with a couple of pain points. Similarly, you can create a persona for your customers and target them efficiently.
In terms of blog post generation, Anyword offers a blog post wizard that will help you generate an article with keywords in 4 simple steps.
That being said, the feature that makes Anyword a better alternative to Copysmith is its affinity toward product descriptions and listings. With this software, you can create product descriptions for Amazon, Walmart, and Shopify.
Moreover, you also have the flexibility to generate content for products in the form of paragraphs or listings.
Lastly, it is worthy to point out that Anyword offers 90+ copywriting tools each with predictive performance scoring. In addition to this, Anyword also comes as three dedicated and specialized software to generate content for marketing copies, website/landing pages, and social media.
These modules come with custom pricing and also offer different user seats.

For Anyword’s dedicated modules (Acquire, Engage, and Convert), you’d have to get in touch with its sales team for custom pricing.
4. CopyAI
If you are looking purely to access a lot of copywriting tools and templates then CopyAI is the perfect solution for you. In comparison to Copysmith’s 30+ tools, CopyAI comes with a set of whopping 90+ copywriting tools.
Each of these tools works on GPT-3 AI technology to create engaging and relevant content for you. According to me, this makes CopyAI one of the best Copysmith alternatives.
Apart from this, I am really pleased to tell you that CopyAI now offers a blog post wizard. Earlier, you’d have to create different blog post sections in CopyAI and later combine them to make a full-fledged post. But now, you can create an article in 4 simple steps –
- Add details like title, keyword, and tones for your blog post
- Generate an outline of your post
- Generate a few talking points for your outline
- Generate and review your content
Another great characteristic of CopyAI that sets it apart from Copysmith or any of its alternatives is “Templates”. Here’s a snapshot of some Templates offered by CopyAI –
While you can access its copywriting tools and provide inputs as a whole, in the case of Templates, there are some pre-written commands to generate content.
For instance, I tried to create a seasonal email campaign for a product. Here’s what CopyAI’s seasonal email generator template looks like –
After just filling in the blanks (product name, features/benefits, and season/occasion), you will get 4 variants of the seasonal email copy.
Besides this, CopyAI is great at creating content for ads, social media posts, emails, and landing pages. And, to meet your eCommerce-related needs, CopyAI also creates product descriptions.
Not to forget but you will have the flexibility to add up to 5 team members to your CopyAI account. This will help you and your team work concurrently on different projects and scale up your content generation needs.
Lastly, I’m sure that you’d find some of its unique generator tools for wedding vows, dating profiles, short stories, song lyrics, etc. to be quite intriguing.

5. Rytr
Rytr could your ideal alternative to Copysmith if you like simple and easier software. Do get me wrong but despite its simplicity and easy-to-use nature, Rytr is still one of the most robust copywriting software.
Firstly, it was also launched as a lifetime deal on Appsumo. As long as the deal was active, the Appsumo customers wasted no time and got their lifetime access to the software. Believe me, it was a great deal.
When we see this software now, it is used by more than 2 million users from across the world. Some of its most notable clients include Dell, Freshworks, Ford, Adidas, etc. Besides this, its users mostly comprise copywriters, marketers, bloggers, eCommerce businesses, and agencies.
Rytr uses GPT-3 AI technology, similar to most of the other Copysmith alternatives. It offers 40+ copywriting tools as well that leverage this AI technology to generate content. But when compared with Copysmith or other software, I found its user interface to be extremely easy to work with.
Take a look at its dashboard for instance –
It is divided into two sections. On the left-hand side, you find all the key settings like copywriting tools, language customization, tones of voice, input modules, and the setting for content variants.
On the right-hand side, you’d find the setting to create projects. You’d find all the settings in the top right corner. Project management is simple and the same as you’d find in a computer.
You’d love to know that you can create as many projects/folders and add as many files/documents in them.
Furthermore, Rytr packs several content optimization tools as well. To name a few, it offers a rewriter, expander, improver, append, shorten, etc.
In addition to this, I was amazed to find that it packs a native plagiarism checker as well.
As soon as you generate content, it is displayed in its rich-text editor. Here, you can format your text and optimize it using Rytr’s tools.
Just to give you a glimpse, I have generated a product description for the product – Rytr itself. Here’s how you can further optimize your content –
Besides this, you’d love to know that Rytr supports content generation in 30+ languages. It is one of the few Copysmith alternatives that are also available as a Chrome extension. Once installed and activated, it enhances Rytr’s usability of different platforms such as Gmail, WordPress, Slack, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Lastly, it goes without saying that you can generate social media posts, emails, ad copies, landing pages, etc. with Rytr efficiently.

6. Scalenut
Scalenut is an ideal Copysmith competitor for bloggers, SEO professionals, and website owners. One of the main reasons for this is that it offers stellar SEO features along with a blog post wizard to generate long-form content in 5 minutes.
Like its competitors, Scalenut was released as a lifetime deal on another popular platform called Pitchground. The software saw a huge response from its customers and was quickly adopted. However, at the time of launch, it was merely an SEO assistant.
But over time and after several software updates, Scalenut became a one-stop AI content writer and copywriting platform. As of now, it offers 40+ copywriting tools along with its SEO features. And, the best part is that it uses GPT-3 and NLP technology for writing content.
When I signed up for a user account, I was quite impressed with its user interface. It looked extremely polished, professional, and easy to navigate.
It methodically lists its features in the categories like AI Copywriter, SEO Hub, and so on. Mind you, in the free plan, you will not be able to access some of its advanced features like Cruise Mode.
Regardless of this, Scalenut will help you create SEO docs for your next blog post. In order to check its efficacy, I created an SEO doc for the same topic as this blog post i.e. “Copysmith alternatives”.
After entering the primary and secondary keywords for the specific country, it offered me insights into my competitors’ content. Here, I was able to analyze the average content length, content readability grade, images used, outlines, etc.
Based on this data, Scalenut gave me an idea about how to write an SEO-optimized blog post on the said topic. One thing to note here is that this type of advanced SEO feature is not available in Copysmith.
Next, since I was already writing the blog post on the said topic, I copied my content (up until what I had already written) and pasted it into Scalenut’s editor.
Before going further, I would like to tell you that Scalenut’s content editor is better than Copysmith. It offers rich content formatting and optimizing options.
After copy-pasting my content, Scalenut was quick to analyze it for SEO. It displayed my content’s grade, readability, and number of words.
Additionally, it also offered me prompts and suggestions as to what keywords should I include more in my work.
Comparing it with Copysmith, to unlock SEO features, I’d have to integrate my account with Frase. However, in the case of Scalenut, basic SEO features are already present in the software. Furthermore, you can integrate it with Semrush to open up all the advanced SEO features.
In my opinion, creating a blog post in Scalenut is better than Copysmith.
Lastly, for eCommerce stores and website owners, Scalenut offers its AI copywriting tools. It packs a few product description generator tools that will help you generate unique descriptions for your products.

7. Texta
Texta is the new kid on the block. Despite being a new software in the AI-powered copywriting niche, Texta is getting a lot of recognition from eCommerce businesses, marketing agencies, and bloggers. Therefore, I think classifying Texta as one of the best Copysmith alternatives is perfectly justified.
One of the prime reasons behind its rise in popularity is the availability of a one-click blog post generator. To further complement this feature, Texta offers dedicated blog generator modules for different niches like arts & culture, real estate, marketing, internet & technology, eCommerce, and so on.
I was surprised to find out that it offers 21 long-form content generators. Here’s a screenshot of these long-form tools –
Nevertheless, the characteristic that makes Texta superior to Copysmith is its blog post generator. While you get a simple one on Copysmith, Texta offers you a couple of options –
- Simple blog post generator
- Advanced blog post generator
In the simple post generator of Texta, you simply have to provide a short description about what you want to generate.
Additionally, you can also set the language as well. You’d love to know that Texts supports 27+ languages.
However, according to me, the advanced post generator will definitely impress you. Unlike the simple one, the advanced blog generator comes with a wizard tool that will guide you through every step.
For starters, you’d have to once again enter a short description of your blog’s topic. At the same time, you can select the type of blog post i.e. how-to, big secret, numbers, and so on.
You can also configure different blog variables like language, tone, style, and target audience. Additionally, you can also access the advanced settings to configure the creativity and the length of the blog post.
Once you are satisfied, you can proceed further to create a suitable blog title and then the blog outline.
Besides the blog generator, Texta offers other 50+ copywriting tools in comparison to Copysmith’s 30+ tools. To further match the efficiency of Copysmith, it packs a native SEO keyword optimizer, Grammarly, and Zapier integration.
I was also pretty much satisfied with its team management feature as well –
You can invite and add up to 10 team members to your account. So large teams, agencies, and large businesses should find Texta as one of the best Copysmith alternatives.

8. Hypotenuse AI
If you are an eCommerce business owner who just wants one of the simplest but efficient Copysmith alternatives then you would definitely like Hypotenuse AI.
The software is built specifically to cater content generation needs of eCommerce businesses, marketing teams, bloggers, and agencies alone. While other Copysmith competitors may offer you a plethora of copywriting tools, Hypotenuse AI does not distract you and offers various content writing tools for blog posts, product descriptions, marketing copies, and images only.
It is unclear about the total number of copywriting tools available in Hypotenuse AI. However, after signing up for a user account, I found that it offers 16 AI copywriting tools in the “Marketing Copy” category. And, of course, each of these tools works on GPT-3 AI technology.
Apart from these AI-powered copywriting templates, Hypotenuse AI offers a blog post generator tool. It is basically a wizard tool, that will help you create an article in 3 steps.

Out of all the alternatives to Copysmith that I have tested, I found that this feature in the software to cater eCommerce businesses alone. This according to me is a good characteristic as it emphasizes proficiency in the field.
Speaking about its usage, as soon as you access this tool, it asks you to first create a new catalog. Then it asks you to import products. You can import/add one product or import multiple products from your eCommerce store.
For multiple products, it allows importing from platforms like Shopify. In addition to this, you can also import product details through a CSV sheet. Similarly, there are other platforms like BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Amazon, etc. whose integration and sync feature is under development.
Apart from this, it offers a familiar product description generator. It simply asks you to add your product name, image, product features, and brand name.
Based on these details, Hypotenuse AI will create multiple description copies of your products.
You’d also love to know that the software can generate product descriptions in bulk for hundreds of products. Consequently, it is also possible to import these descriptions in a CSV file.
Besides the conventional eCommerce-related features, Hypotenuse AI is one of the few Copysmith alternatives that support text-to-image generation.
Lastly, you can also generate ad copies, social media captions, and email copies for your products as well.
